The American-born daughter of immigrants from Taiwan, Michelle Hung grew up in Santa Monica, CA. She attended college at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and studied film in the M.F.A. Directing Program at UCLA's School of Theater, Film, & Television. Michelle completed her thesis film "Chinese Dumplings" in June 2006. In addition to garnering numerous awards and donations for its funding, "Chinese Dumplings" was selected for a UCLA Director's Spotlight Award upon completion. Michelle lives in Los Angeles, CA and is at work on a feature length Chinese-American romantic comedy; she is grateful for and encouraged by the support granted by The Caucus for Television Producers, Writers, & Directors.
